A MUCH cooler airmass has settled into the Washington, D.C. area today, but the break from mild temperatures won't last long. High pressure cleared away the clouds and brought a chilly start to the day. In fact, this morning temps have been running about 20-35 degrees colder than yesterday morning.
- Morning Temperature Change
Afternoon temps will be about 5 degrees below average highs, but by tonight, our high starts to slip eastward and an approaching front from the west will bring in cloudiness overnight and into Friday. Some computer models are picking up a little light rain north and west of the metro, but just clouds I think for the WJLA viewing area. In addition, the warmer temperatures will return. Low 50s for Friday and 60s this weekend. The cloudy theme sticks through the weekend and into early next week. Best chances of rain on Sunday and Monday. Then the temps will drop back down into the 40s for highs.
