Big changes are on the way for the end of the week through the weekend.

This Afternoon: Mostly Sunny and Mild

Highs: Mid to Upper 50s | Wind: NW 10 m.p.h.

Tonight: Mostly Clear and Chilly

Lows: 20s to Upper 30s | Wind: Light

Thursday: Mostly Cloudy, Rain by the Evening

Highs: Low 50s | Precipitation: 80%

High pressure will briefly move into the region today with mostly sunny to at times partly cloudy skies and mild temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. Tonight will be chilly with lows in the 20s and 30s under mostly clear skies. Clouds will increase tomorrow as a cold front moves in from the west. Rain will become likely by the late afternoon and evening hours and will have the potential to be heavy at times. Highs Thursday should reach the lower 50s.

Much colder air will filter in behind this strong front with highs in the low to mid 40s Friday and lower 40s Saturday. Gusty winds will also be likely on Friday and Saturday with some gusts above 40 mph. Even some snow flurries aren’t out of the question Friday evening behind the front, but much heavier snows will be likely in the mountains with 6 inches or more of snow possible.
