A strong cold front will bring much needed rain to the area as well as colder temperatures by tomorrow.

This Afternoon: Mostly Cloudy, Rain by Evening Rush

Highs: Around 50 | Wind: SE 8-12 m.p.h.

Tonight: Rain Likely, Ending before Dawn

Lows: Low to Mid 40s | Wind: W 10-20 m.p.h.

Friday: Morning Sun, Afternoon Clouds, Breezy and Colder

Highs: Mid 40s | Wind: W 15-25+ m.p.h.

A strong cold front will move into the region today and clouds have already begun to spread out ahead of it. Expect cloudy skies through the day with highs around 50 degrees. Rain will develop by the evening rush and will continue through the early overnight hours. Rain will come to an end before dawn and there could be some morning sunshine Friday followed by increasing clouds the rest of the day. Friday will be partly sunny, windy and colder with highs in the mid 40s. There may even be a few flurries across the area Friday evening and Friday night. Fitting as Astronomical Winter begins at 6:12am Friday. Saturday will continue to be windy and cold with highs in the lower 40s and wind gusts up to 40 mph or higher. Sunday will still be a little breezy at times with highs in the low to mid 40s.
