Look at how clear the skies are over us this aftertnoon.  This from the AQUA-MODIS satellite at about 2PM.  

High pressure so great night to view the Geminid Meteor Showers tonight.  Look east after 11PM and later.  The constellation Gemini is just below the brilliant planet Jupiter.  Here is a great video of by Henry Jun Wah Lee of what you may see in the sky tonight t        

High pressure will move off later in the weekend and that will let some moisture come in for another chance of some needed rain showers by Sunday into Monday.
