As high pressure moves off to the east, it will take the colder than average air mass along with it. But that will allow clouds to begin streaming into the area later tonight. Over the next couple days a warm front will approach our area and will be “in the neighborhood” through the weekend. This will make for a rather challenging forecast period. I will tell you up front that confidence in the details of the forecast is not very high.
As the warm front approaches tomorrow, it could trigger an isolated shower or a few sprinkles. Expecting it to move just north of the area on Saturday, temperatures should warm considerably. But as the front sags south on Sunday, temperatures may drop a bit. Later Sunday and Monday, as a cold front approaches, the chances of rain will increase. Rain will become likely late Sunday and Monday. Perhaps these features will be become more obvious by tomorrow and allow us to give you a more confident weekend forecast. And then again…perhaps not.
