D.C. Weather Forecast: Cold air moves back into the area

Lows back into the 20s and 30s overnight and colder than average temperatures Thursday.

Tonight: Clear and Cold

Lows: 20s to Mid 30s | Wind: NW 4-8 m.p.h.

Thursday: Mostly Sunny and Chilly

Highs: Mid 40s | Wind: SE 3-6 m.p.h.

Friday: Mostly Cloudy, Showers Possible

Highs: Low 50s | Wind: E 4-8 m.p.h.

High pressure will continue to strengthen over the Mid-Atlantic states and in the process deliver clear and cold conditions tonight and sunny and chilly weather tomorrow. A few more clouds are expected later Friday into Saturday as a weak warm fronts moves through the area. A stronger warm front will approach the region on Sunday. This will bump temperatures to the 60 degree mark and give us a chance of showers later Sunday and Monday. A cold front will arrive late on Monday. This frontal zone will be followed by somewhat cooler air next week.
