The cold front has departed to the east and cooler temperatures have slid into the region along with a bit more sunshine. Today, expect highs around 50 degrees under partly cloudy skies. Winds may be a bit breezy at times from the north but should diminish by the afternoon. Tonight will be chilly under mostly clear skies with lows in the 20s to mid 30s.
High thin clouds will spread over the region tomorrow as an area of low pressure hangs off the Carolina coast. Highs will be cool but seasonal in the upper 40s. The end of the work week looks great with temperatures in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees under sunny skies.
