D.C. weather forecast: Less wind and a few flakes

Winds will ease overnight as high pressure builds across the mid-Atlantic. Temperatures will be in the 20s and 30s.

Overnight: Mainly Clear, Diminishing Winds

Lows: 25°-34° | Wind: West 10-15 mph

Sunday: Mostly Sunny

Highs: 45°-50° | Wind: Southwest 5-10 mph

Monday: Increasing Clouds, PM Showers Likely

Highs: 43°-48° | Wind: East 5-10 mph

Skies will clear overnight as gusty winds diminish and temperatures fall into the 20s to lower 30s. With high pressure overhead, Sunday will be sunny and cool. Clouds will increase Christmas Eve ahead of a weak system that will bring showers and possibly a few flakes of snow by evening. Christmas Day will be dry followed by a more potent system that may bring rain and a wintry mix to the mid-Atlantic by Wednesday.
