The massive winter storm brought only 0.2" of snow officially to D.C. It has been a daily record for rain with 1.4" as of late tonight It's still snowing across western Maryland with many areas closing in on 12" of snow. If all the rain had been snow in the D.C. metro area, we would have over 1 foot of snow on the ground now.
Areas along the New Jersey coast will see winds 40-50 mph tonight and sure not what folks there want after Sandy. Behind the storm our winds will turn into the north and northwest and be very strong Thursday. Winds decrease Friday. The next chance for snow lovers comes Saturday.
