High pressure will continue to strengthen over the area and provide us with a couple spectacular days. Tonight, under crystal clear skies, late-nighters should have ideal conditions for viewing the annual Geminid Meteor Showers. Find out more about this is a blog by meteorologist Alex Liggitt.
Some changes to the weather pattern will develop over the weekend. Skies will be sunny on Saturday morning but then clouds will increase through the day. Temperatures will reach the lower 50s. On Sunday, a warm front approaching the region in the morning may produce areas of rain. Temperatures will reach the middle 50s. As we look ahead to the period from Sunday afternoon through Tuesday, the picture becomes a bit more muddled. The location of the warm front and the approach of a cold front and attendant area of low pressure may continue the chance of rain, at times, straight through Tuesday.
