A stalled cold front is keeping the cloud cover around today, but showers stay away.
This Afternoon: Partly Sunny
Highs: Upper 40s | Wind: NNW 5-10
Tonight: Mostly Clear
Lows: Upper 20s to lower 30s | Wind: N 5
Thursday: Abundant sunshine
Highs: Near 50 | Wind: Calm
Ok, so I stole that headline of "Heavy Clouds, but no rain" from Sting, but it pretty much sums up our weather today. A stalled cold front that passed through Sunday night is lingering off the coast and keeping high and mid level clouds around.
- Surface Map this Morning
The showers will stay in Southern Virginia and in the Carolinas. Dry air is working it's way into the Mid-Atlantic and should bring a few peeks of sunshine this afternoon. More significant clearing is expected tonight and high pressure will then dominate our weather for the rest of the week. Sunshine should be plentiful Thursday and Friday.
