Cold temperatures will prevail all week with highs running near and mostly below average along with a fairly quiet weather pattern. Increasing clouds today will start as high, thin clouds this morning, but they'll thicken and become lower in the sky throughout the day. A weak disturbance will pass to the south of Washington on Tuesday, and this could trigger a brief sprinkle possibly mixed with snow especialy south of D.C. The potential with this system is very limited and minimal, so no travel delays are anticipated at this time. The middle of the week should be the coldest with highs in the mid 30s on Wednesday with vast sunshine.
