D.C. Weather Forecast: Cloudy Skies with some showers, but a warm weekend
This Afternoon: Cloudy skies with a few showers
Highs: Upper 40s to Lower 50s | Rain: 30 percent
Tonight: Evening Showers, Fog late
Lows: Low to mid 40s | Rain: 30 percent
Saturday: Morning Fog, then becoming partly cloudy
Highs: Around 60 | Wind: S 5
Clouds have moved in today and a few sprinkles are expected through the morning. Most of the showers will hold off until mid-afternoon and will continue into the evening hours. It will dry up as the cold front weakens and moves to our east overnight, but moisture will linger in the low levels and with calm winds, fog should develop late tonight into Saturday morning. This leaves for a tricky high temperature forecast on Saturday. Mild conditions are expected, but depending on how quickly skies/fog clears in the morning will greatly impact how warm we go. Earlier clearing means highs into the 60s, but if it holds off until late morning, we will stay in the mid to upper 50s.
- Weekend Forecast
I think 59 is a good compromise for D.C. with skies becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon. While some clouds will linger on Sunday, warm air advection should still help our temperatures climb into the mid to upper 60s. The weekend will stay dry, but we will start next week with rain again. Much cooler weather to end next week.
