D.C. weather forecast: Cold, yet brighter Wednesday

Clouds will clear during the late overnight hours as colder air filters across the mid-Atlantic.

Overnight: Gradual Clearing

Lows: 24°-30° | Wind: North 5-10 mph

Wednesday: Mostly Sunny and Cold

Highs: 34°-39° | Wind: Northwest 5-10 mph

Thursday: Partly Cloudy

Highs: 35°-40° | Wind: Southwest 5-10 mph

Skies will begin to clear during the overnight hours as high pressure builds across the mid-Atlantic. Lows will be in the 20s to near 30 degrees in the District. A few lingering clouds are expected during the morning hours with plenty of afternoon sunshine. Highs will be in the middle to upper 30s. Quiet conditions stay in the forecast for the rest of the week with highs generally in the upper 30s to lower 40s.
