The last time it was this cold was March 3, 2009.  That's the last time D.C. has seen the temperature below 15°.  Tonight "officially" in D.C. will probably not get below 15° BUT if you see anyone who looks like they may need help, don't hesitate to call the HYPOTHERMA HOTLINE at 800-535-7252.  The record low tonight is 0° from 1936, so no record, but the wind chill will make the air feel as though it is near 0°.  A weak wave in the atmosphere will move through tomorrow evening and night and possibly (30% chance) give some high spots some flurries or a dusting by Thursday morning.  Here is our hyperlocal futurecast for 11PM Wednesday night. 

Late Thursday another wave will move our way from the west and bring another chance of snow, but the trend has been toward a track to the south and dry.  The latest probability of 1" or more of snow are low around us.
