A warm front will inch its way across our area during the next 36 hours. This will keep skies mostly cloudy with areas of fog. We are putting large ranges in our forecast high temperatures for the next two days. If we stay mostly cloudy and foggy tomorrow it will remain cool but if we see any sunshine , temperatures will rise into the 50s.
On Wednesday, just ahead of a strong cold front, we may begin the day with fog but as the warm front finally moves out, temperatures should climb into the lower 60s. And if we break into a decent period of sunshine before the showers arrive, temperatures could jump in the upper 60s. Showers are likely and isolated thunderstorms are possible late Wednesday afternoon as the cold front crosses the Blue Ridge. Much cooler temperatures will return on Thursday and noticeably colder air will arrive on Friday.
