A weak cold front passed through D.C. overnight and brought quite a bit of cloudiness. It's been a bit breezy this morning with Northwest winds bringing in the cooler air and temperatures will be a bit cooler than Sunday. Despite all that, we will see highs above average in the mid to upper 40s. The average high in D.C. this week is 43 degrees. High pressure is building in from the west and clearing skies out. As the high drifts to the east tomorrow, our winds become Southwesterly. This will usher in warmth from the gulf coast states and we will see a warming trend until Thursday, when a system approaches and brings in some clouds. Rain showers will be possible on Thursday night and Friday. If that all sounds good to you, just wait until the weekend! Check out the forecast highs for Sunday:

For you cold weather lovers, the warm up lasts about a week and a half. It looks like a big bitter cold chill by late next week. But, let's focus on this warm stuff, first.
