D.C. Weather Forecast: Mild Week Ahead

Mild temperatures will be the main story of the work week with highs around 15 degrees above average come Wednesday.

This Afternoon: Sunny and Mild

Highs: Mid to Upper 40s | Wind: NW 5-10 m.p.h.

Overnight: Mostly Clear and Cold

Lows: 20s to Mid 30s | Wind: SW 4-8 m.p.h.

Tuesday: Sunny and Mild

Highs: Low 50s | Wind: SSW 4-8 m.p.h.

High pressure will filter over the region today and should remain over the region through at least Wednesday before the next area of low pressure moves into the area. Today will be cooler than yesterday but still pleasant with highs in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees. Clouds have been across the region this morning but skies should clear by the afternoon. Tonight will be clear and cold with lows in the 20s in the western suburbs to mid 30s in town.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be quite mild across the region with highs in the low 50s Tuesday and upper 50s Wednesday under mostly sunny skies. An area of low pressure will approach the region Thursday bringing clouds back by the afternoon. A few showers will be possible by Thursday night into Friday morning. The end of the week and weekend ahead look warm as well with highs in the 50s Friday but possibly the 60s for the weekend.
