This morning was the coldest start at Reagan National Airport so far this winter with a low of 27 degrees.

Tonight: Clear and Cold

Lows: 20s | Wind: NW 4-8 m.p.h.

Saturday: Sunny and Seasonal

Highs: Low 40s | Wind: Variable 5 m.p.h.

Sunday: Partly Sunny and Pleasant

Highs: Mid to Upper 40s | Wind: SW 4-8 m.p.h.

As high pressure continues to dominate the local weather pattern, the local weather remains quite pleasant. Skies will be mostly clear again tonight as temperatures drop from the upper teens in outlying areas to the lower 20s in the city. We will see sunshine tomorrow…for a while. But clouds will increase during the afternoon in advance of the next weather disturbance as it approaches our area. It is not out of the question that some areas could see snow flurries or even patches of light snow late Saturday night into Sunday morning.

During the day on Sunday…just ahead of a cold front, our region will see clearing skies and milder temperatures as winds briefly shift to the southwest. Sunday afternoon weather looks just about ideal for the Redskins/ Seahawks game at Fed Ex in Landover. After the cold front passes late Sunday, temporarily cooler air will arrive. Monday and Tuesday will be mostly sunny and pleasant with highs in the lower 40s on Monday and middle 40s on Tuesday. A chance of showers and warmer temperatures are forecast for Wednesday.
