Friday: Cloudy and mild with a 30% chance of showers developing during the afternoon

As high pressure moves out of our area overnight, cloudiness will build into the region. During the day tomorrow, an area of low pressure will pass well to our west. But it will be close enough to combine with southerly winds to produce scattered showers or patches of rain tomorrow afternoon and tomorrow night. By Saturday, the system will be far enough away for high pressure to clear skies and push temperatures into the lower 60s. It's already well into the 60s today in the Southeast.
More clouds will move into the region on Sunday, but the push of warm southerly winds will drive afternoon temperatures into the upper 60s. In areas with partly sunny skies, temperatures could reach 70 degrees. Looking ahead to next week…very mild conditions will continue into Monday but then a cold front will snap us back to reality with rain progressively colder temperatures.
