……..Winter Weather Advisory if effect until 9pm tonight across the area area…………
The Alberta Clipper is on track and on schedule spreading a large area of light snow across the region. There are obvious breaks showing up on Doppler radar. This means some areas with get flurries, some a dusting and others up to around 1 inch of snow. The dry, arctic air mass in place, weakness of the system and its rapid forward speed will limit its potential as a snow maker. Therefore, snowfall totals will be rather insignificant. But with temperatures in the lower 20s or upper teens, slick spots and icy patches will develop and will be a concern through the night.
Sunny skies will return tomorrow and Sunday and a gradual warming trend awaits, as well. By Tuesday and Wednesday, high temperatures will push through the 50s to near 60 degrees
