D.C. Weather Forecast:A Big Storm
Overnight: Clear Early, High Clouds Late
Lows: 25-30 | Wind: Light

Friday: Light Rain Here, Icy AM west and north

Everything really points to a major, perhaps historic, snow storm for New England, Friday into Saturday. A blizzard watch is now up for the Boston area
And look at the snow forecast from the Boston NWS office
The storm will be rapidly intensifying to our east Friday but with milder air over us, most precipitation will be rain and light rain. Enough cold air will likely stick around northern Maryland and out to the Shenandoah Valley that the rain early Friday will probably be freezing and give Friday morning commuters north and west of D.C. some trouble. By late Friday, the storm is off the southern coast of New England and cold winds for us, while Boston may measure the storm in feet.
