Adam has written about this "Clipper Craze" the current pattern with weak waves moving near us with light snow or flurries. I know I should not use this to rant but there are NO ADVISORIES for the D.C. area and no snow!! So why are we throwing down more tons of salt tonight? This was in Arlington.
Yes we have had some snow this winter and public officals do have to keep us safe. But should we expect every small possibity of snow to be met with an expenditure of this much salt on the roads and at what cost? If we get a bit of snow overnight-drive slowly and safely.
