Strong Northwest winds are the weather feature of the day and driving the "feel factor" down today. Gusts may reach 30mph at times, so despite temps in the upper 30s to near 40 this afternoon, it will feel like 20s, and even teens tonight. Here's the forecast wind chill for the area later today:
- Forecast Wind Chill 6 PM
Despite the cold, it is a beautiful day. A nice mix of sunshine and clouds with high pressure settliing into the area giving us a nice break today and tomorrow from the wet and dreary weather. By Friday things start changing. A strong storm is moving through the plains today and tomorrow bringing as much as a foot or better of snow in Kansas and Nebraska while the south will have severe thunderstorms. Depending on timing, we will see clouds and then a wintry mix on Friday before changing to all rain with showers on Saturday and a drier end to the weekend. Keep it on ABC7 for the latest on the end of the week forecast. Cherry Blossom Festival is only one month away!!
