A cold front will cross the region tonight. Winds will increase out of the west northwest after frontal passage and skies will clear and temperatures will fall into the 20s. Skies will be partly sunny tomorrow as a new area of high pressure builds into the area but it will be very cold and very windy. High temperatures will stay in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees and wind chills will remain somewhat lower.  Here are forecast highs tomorrow across the region. Check out the really cold air over the Great Lakes and Upper Midwest.

On Thursday, the center of the area of high pressure will be overhead. This will provide sunny and unseasonably cold conditions but will mean much lighter winds across the region. On Friday, another area of low pressure will affect our area with rain or snow or a wintry mix. Friday’s highs will remain in the 30s. Unsettled conditions will continue at least through Saturday.
