It turned out to be a pretty pleasant day today…pretty much as forecast. Drier winds brought some sunshine back to the area and temperatures rebounded through the 50s.
Temperatures tonight will fall into the 30s under partly to mostly cloudy skies. Starting tomorrow and lasting through next week, an unseasonably cold and dry air mass will rebuild across our region and across the entire mid-Atlantic. The coldest day in the stretch will be on Sunday when high temperatures will be no higher than 40 degrees and many areas may not make it out of the 30s. Looking ahead to Tuesday and Wednesday of next week….current indications are temperatures will remain significantly below average. At the same time an organized area of low pressure could bring some wintry precipitation to parts of the area.
