- Minor accumulations were noted Wednesday night north and west of Washington. But the bigger impact was from icy spots Thursday morning.
- Puddles and wet roadways from Wednesday's rain froze in places as temperatures dropped below freezing. Improving weather with sunshine and warmer temperatures through the end of the week.
- A strong cold front will cross the area Friday evening. The front may be accompanied by scattered showers and may be followed by scattered snow showers as much colder air returns to the region.
- The weekend weather will remind us it is still winter. Partly sunny, breezy and cold conditions will be accompanied by afternoon temperatures in the upper 30s on Saturday and only the lower 30s on Sunday. Snow flurries are possible on Sunday, as well.
