A moist light south wind kept the low clouds, fog and low visibility around much of the day around D.C. At the same time the sun was out in the Shenandoah Valley and Spring Fever also with temperatures in the 60s. Winds will increase tonight and bring in dry air but also strong winds in the high spots to the west and the reason for a wind advisory until 10AM Tuesday.
Weather systems will be moving fast this week and a weak storm will move near us Wednesday and then get stronger off the coast Wednesday evening. Mild air at the beginning means likely some rain Wednesday afternoon but then as cold air comes in, the rain may change to some wet snow before ending Wednesday night. Read more here, but sure does not look like anything "big" for snow lovers.
