High pressure overhead brings a brilliantly sunny, but cold start to the week. Here's a look at low temperatures this President's Day morning:
- Morning Lows
Temperatures will warm into the upper 30s to lower 40s later today, but we will still be cooler than average by about 5 degrees or so. Thing start changing tonight when the clouds start increasing late and by morning, a light wintry mix will be possible north of the metro. Any rain/snow/sleet will be short lived, as all rain is expected by mid-morning. A few areas could have slick bridges and overpasses especially north and west of D.C. The rain will end by evening and windy and colder conditions will return. In fact, Wednesday is looking to be a lot like the weather we experienced on Sunday with highs in the mid-upper 30s and gusty winds.
