High pressure building into the area today from the Ohio Valley, however, with a combined low up towards Quebec, the gradient between the two pressures will make for some pretty strong winds. This pattern doesn’t break down until late tomorrow. Temperatures manage to make it into the upper 30s/lower 40s but with the winds, it will feel like we will be in the 20s for the majority of the day.

Same deal tonight, ambient lows drop to the mid-20s while wind chills fall into the single digits north and west of town and teens around the district. Thursday will mirror today as highs only make it to around 40 degrees, winds still breezy. Wind chills in the 20s. The wind dies down tomorrow night. Clouds on the increase Thursday night into Friday ahead our next system moving in from Texas.
Friday will feature clouds and temperatures in the upper 30s but only light winds. As we head into Friday afternoon, a wintry mix will spread across the region just in time for the afternoon rush (it looks right now to begin in DC around 4ish). A switch to plain rain will occur as we head into Saturday morning. Rain showers continue through the day on Saturday before the sunshine returns on Sunday. Looks like temperatures for Sunday through at least Tuesday will be in the lower 50s.
