At long last, Spring! After a month of endlessly chilly days and long overdue snow, Easter weekend is starting with all the balm we expect in a springtime weather basket. High pressure, light winds, plenty of sunshine and highs around 60 should be more than enough to coax us out of winter jackets and put smiles on our faces. The turnaround began yesterday when the mercury reached 60 for the first time in 10 days and the unrelenting winds eased. As a large storm in the Atlantic finally moved to the east, a milder pattern began its move to the Washington area.
Today will likely be the nicer of the Easter weekend days with clouds expected late tonight and again through the day tomorrow. Easter Sunday should still see temperatures near 60, but showers are likely by afternoon. More showers are possible on Monday, but they too should wait until the afternoon hours, thus giving the Nationals' Opening Day a fair shot at staying dry. Highs should again be in the low 60s. Enjoy your holiday weekend!
