A chilly weekend for early March. High today 46° but one year ago our high temperature was 70°. Northwest winds keep us chilly this weekend. By early next week it does look like a storm will be forming in the Southern Plains and moving toward the southeast coast. It is still too early to say with confidence how any storm will impact the Washington area. Look at this
- This is the latest simulation showing a storm near the Virginia, NorthCarolina coast Wednesday morning. But this is the ensemble and the dark blue area around Washington means that's an area with the largest uncertainty of what the air pressure will be Wednesday. Or also where the highest uncertainty of where the storm center might be. I do think with the pattern we have had the past few months, were storms to our south tend to move rapidly east and stay south, right now the risk of a "major" storm on Wednesday is small. As we say, "Stay Tuned" :>)
