As you have probably heard by now, an area of low pressure has just entered the Pacific Northwest. Models indicate this system will eventually move into the middle part of the country late Monday and into Tuesday. At that point, the forecast becomes blurry on the exact impact the storm will have on the mid-Atlantic and the Washington, D.C. area. At this time, the exact type of precipitation cannot be determined. Some of the area may see rain, a mixture or all snow. Any snow that falls will be very heavy and wet.
