Snow showers and flurries are passing through parts of the area this morning. These are the final effects of Wednesday's storm that continues to lash coastal New England with heavy snow and high winds. During the day today, we could see a few afternoon sprinkles with the familiar decks of clouds passing overhead. In between, there will be periods of sunshine.
The weekend weather is looking great. High pressure will bring lots of sunshine and warmer temperatures. Highs will reach the middle 50s on Saturday and 60 degrees on Sunday. On Monday, high temperatures will climb into the 60s.
Another reminder here to turn clocks ahead 1 hour tomorrow night before going to bed...it's the return of Daylight Saving Time. This is also a great time to change the batteries in smoke detectors and carbon monoxide monitors.
