D.C. Weather Forecast: Touch of Spring starts fading
This Afternoon: Mostly Cloudy and Mild
Highs: Upper 50s | Wind: S 10-15
Tonight: Clouds with Showers late
Lows: Around 50 | Wind: S 10
Tuesday: Morning rain, decreasing clouds P.M.
Highs: Around 60 | Wind: Becoming Northwest PM
After a wonderfully warm weekend, the 60s will be fading fast. The cloud cover today won't stop mild temperatures, but it won't be as good as Saturday and Sunday. A cold front is approaching from the Great Lakes and ushering in a mild southerly breeze.
- South Winds bring in Warm Air
That will bring our temperatures above the average high of 54. The showers should hold off until this evening, and then it will just be spotty and light in Northern Virginia and Western Maryland. The main rain will arrive overnight and Tuesday morning. A good 1/4'1/2" can be expected. Keep this in mind for the morning commute. Behind the front, it will become windy and cool again. Temps will drop back into the mid 40s for highs on Thursday.
