By the time the cold front passes east of the area today, rainfall totals between 1/2 and 1 inch will be widespread.
Temperatures are very mild once again but will fall some this afternoon with a wind shift following frontal passage. Even colder air will arrive tonight. The more we get into March and April, the cold fronts lose some of their wintry effects. Such is the case with this front. While it will only reach the middle 50s tomorrow with a few afternoon showers, those temperatures are average for the middle of March. The coldest day this week will be Thursday...if you think a high temperature of 45 degrees is cold. But strong winds knocking the wind chill into the 30s during the day, will remind us it is still winter. Sunshine and milder temperatures are in our Friday forecast.
