Washington D.C. Forecast: Snow Melting but Icy Spots AM

Still some drizzle but also risk of icy AM

Overnight: Drizzle, flurries ending, A bit of clearing, Near Freezing Late

Lows: 29-34 | Wind: NW 5-10

Tuesday: Only Partly Sunny, Breezy and Chilly

Highs: 43-48 | Wind Chill: 34-39 midday

Wednesday: Sunny-some PM clouds but still windy and chilly

Highs: 44-49 | Wind: NW 15-20 mph

Our first 1" of snow in Washington in more than 2 years.  A pretty morning snow for snow lovers that didn't cause any big problems.  Here is a full list of the late observations from the NWS.  The seconday storm is now well off the coast and unfortunately drier air is coming in and there are some breaks in the clouds.  This means there will be icy areas Tuesday morning before sunrise at 7:02AM.  Be careful during the morning rush.  Here is our hyper-local futurecast at 6am tomorrow:

Later in the week finally some milder air moves our way   Right now Easter Sunday looks pleasant and near 60. Opening Day for the Nats Monday looks pleasant too . . .right now.  BTW take our new poll below.  When do you think we will get our first 80° day?
