Look for a very pleasant Sunday with mostly sunny skies and highs around 70.  Cloudier skies arrive tonight, but temperatures stay mild.

This Afternoon: Mostly Sunny & Pleasant

Highs: 67-70 | Wind: WNW 5-10/G 20 mph

Tonight: Mostly Cloudy & Mild

Lows: 46-53 | Wind: SE 5-10 mph

Monday: Mostly Cloudy & Warm, Breezy

Highs: 70-75 | Wind: SE 10-15 mph

After being too cold for too long, this past week tried to even the score by being too hot too soon.  But this weekend steadied the controls as we are getting spring as it was meant to be. The high yesterday of 70 under mostly sunny skies was the coolest and most comfortable day this past week and today promises to be equally pleasant.  Look for a few clouds, but sunshine should prevail as high temperatures will again aim for near 70.

High pressure will start to slide to the east later today as a front brings cloudier skies this evening.  With the high anchored offshore, a flow off the ocean and a stalled front near the Mason-Dixon Line will likely give us a series of cloudy, but warm days through the coming week.  The possibility of showers increases by Thursday as a cold front on Friday ushers in cooler than normal air for next weekend.

As blissful as these sunny spring days are, there are some seasonal flies in the ointment!  Pollen counts for trees are sky high (currently 11.2 on a 12 point scale with maples and birches the main offenders) and the danger of sunburn is up there as well as the UV Index is now a 7.  Still, those threats are a small price to pay for Mother Nature's welcome makeover.  Enjoy your Sunday!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        steadied
