A beautiful and almost summer-like start to the work week. Changes arrive by week's end.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy, breezy, and very warm.
Highs: Around 80 degrees, some spots in the low 80s | Wind: WSW 5-10 mph
Wednesday: Partly cloudy, breezy, and unseasonably warm.
Highs: Lower to middle 80s | Wind: WSW 5-10 mph
We have been waiting for this weather- pattern change for a long time. And while temperatures will go back below average on Saturday, in the interim, we will enjoy spring and summer weather. Check out these afternoon temperatures!
High pressure is strengthening off the coast of North Carolina and will briefly set-up in a summer-like location. That means very warm temperatures….like in the 80s in many spots tomorrow and Wednesday and perhaps still near the 80 degree mark on Thursday. An approaching cold front will cause increasing cloudiness during the day on Thursday with showers and thunderstorms possible by late afternoon. More rain is likely on Friday behind the cold front. But high pressure will quickly build back into the area and skies will start to clear by Friday evening. Sunshine returns for the weekend but temperatures will be much, much cooler.
