Winds from the East, two days at least.  That's the old farmer's lore about rainy, cloudy weather and it applies today.  An easterly wind will bring in the influence of the Atlantic and keep us moist and cloudy through mid-week.  Rain showers have begun to taper off through the afternoon hours leaving us with spotty showers around the region.

A little bit of fog around the region on Tuesday morning. The chance for very spotty showers continues through Wednesday early afternoon. Here's a look at forecast rainfall totals through midnight on Wednesday.

A trough of low pressure will finally move out by Thursday giving way to a mix of sun and clouds and warmer temperatures to end the week.  As for temperatures, the clouds will keep us cool with highs in the low to mid 60s through Wednesday. With the sunshine returning on Thursday, we should get close to 70 degrees. Our average high is 71 for the last week of April/First week of May.
