High pressure has produced another spectacular day across the region with plenty of sunshine and comfortably cool temperatures. As the center of the high pressure area drifts away from our area tomorrow, winds will turn to the southeast and eventually to the south. This will bring in slightly warmer air. High temperatures are forecast into the lower 70s tomorrow afternoon.
On Sunday, an upper level low will approach the area and cause mostly cloudy skies. By Sunday evening, there will be a chance for a few showers. As the system moves across the area on Monday, rain will become likely. The latest computer guidance suggests this area of low pressure may become nearly stationary over the mid-Atlantic states. If this happens, cloudy skies with daily chances of rain will continue through at least Wednesday, if not a bit longer. So enjoy the weekend!
