Low clouds, drizzle and light rain will move out of the region...on Wednesday.

High pressure off the New England coast and low pressure off the Carolina coast continue to push cool, moist air across the region. Lots of low clouds with patches of light rain or drizzle will continue through Tuesday and into the night.
We are becoming a bit more confident the high pressure center will shift southward and strengthen over the next several days. That is good news if you would like to see sunshine and feel some warmer air. While areas of low clouds may persist overnight, we do expect steady clearing during the day on Wednesday.
Looking ahead to Thursday and Friday and the weekend, for that matter, the high pressure center appears to remain dominant across our area. As a result, we are forecasting partly cloudy and dry weather with highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s.
