Dulles has already broken a record and DC well on it's way to breaking a record set back in 1922.

High pressure off the coast of NC is still pumping in warm air from the south. A few pop-up storms not out of the question this afternoon, most of the strong ones confined to near the Mason-Dixon Line though. Overnight lows will be near our normal for a daytime high for this time of year, in the mid 60s! More clouds featured for your Thursday as a cold front is pegged to move through the area on Friday morning. Some showers/storms possible Thursday afternoon, more rain for the first part of Friday as the frontal system crosses. Highs drop on Friday to the mid-70s. High pressure will build in for the weekend but much cooler temperatures-60s for the weekend and sunshine.
