The temperature reached 80 degrees at Reagan National Airport yesterday afternoon, making it the warmest day in 6 months. Looking at the weather models and maps this morning, you would think it was late June and not early April on the east coast but still winter in parts of the country. High pressure is in a summer-like location off the Coastal Carolinas. And with the pattern expected to continue until a cold front arrives late Thursday, we expect mid-summer temperatures and partly to mostly sunny skies. Clouds will increase on Thursday ahead of the cold front. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible later Thursday but likely on Friday morning. Clearing and cooler conditions are in our weekend forecast.
On Monday, tree pollen was high at a level of 321.73 Grains/ Cubic Meter…with the biggest offenders being Cedar, Cypress and Juniper. And today's pollen count may be just as high.
