Heavy downpours are likely and some may deliver strong wind gusts. The Storm Prediction Center has placed the entire region under a Slight Risk for severe weather.

A strong area of cool, Canadian high pressure will move into our area over the weekend and early next week. Gusty winds and much cooler temperatures will be the most notable changes in the weather as this system moves in. Longer range guidance suggests cooler than average temperatures may persist through most of next week.
