The warmest day in a long, long time is underway. Keep your eye on the hourly temperatures as they will rapidly climb this morning. The average high today is 65 degrees. The actual high temperature this afternoon will be 20 to 25 degrees higher than that and may tie or break the record for April 10th.ZZZZZ

We will also be keeping a close eye on Live Super Doppler 7 this afternoon. There is a chance for a few showers and thunderstorms to pop up along and west of the Blue Ridge and near the Maryland/Pennsylvania border.

It will be a bit cooler tomorrow with partly cloudy skies. Late day showers and thunderstorms are possible. But the better chances for that to occur will be on Friday morning as the cold front crosses the area. Clearing and cooler weather will move in for the weekend.
