Carbon Copy weather, as today will be a repeat of yesterday's weather with sunshine and low 50s.

This Afternoon: Sunny Skies

Highs: Low 50s | Wind: NW 10-15

Tonight: Clear and Cold

Lows: Low 30s | Wind: W 5-10

Thursday: Morning sun, some afternoon clouds

Highs: Mid 50s | Wind: S 5-10

Such a pretty looking day, but still feeling the early spring chill.  Lows this morning were in the 20s across much of the area.  A strong area of high pressure is building into the region, and keeping us clear, cool and dry.  Several brush fires started up in Maryland and Virginia yesterday. Conditions are ripe today for rapid fire growth if anything else develops. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for that threat today.

Red Flag Warning

For a better understanding of what the heck that means, check out Brian Van de Graaff's blog here.  There will be some fire relief starting tomorrow afternoon.  Winds will swing around to the south and start pumping in some humidity.  This should translate into some Thursday afternoon cloudiness.  By Friday, a storm system that is currently in the Lower Mississippi Valley will arrive on our doorstep. It will be a wet end to the work week, but this weekend FINALLY warms up!
