OH, YES!  This fantastic weather has me in a fabulous mood. It's amazing how hot and cold, wet and dry weather can affect your mood, isn't it?! We are all smiles in the Stormwatch7 Weather Center today.  The sun is shining as high pressure off the Atlantic Coast is controlling our weather.  That, coupled with low pressure moving into the plains is driving in southerly winds today and bringing the thermometer up.  Yesterday we hit 80 degrees for the first time in six months.  It's been a long wait for some. Our average high today is 65 degrees. Check out the temperature anomolies for today in the east.

Temperature Anomoly Today

We will be nearly 20 degrees above average. Today we should get in the low to mid 80s and tomorrow into the upper 80s. In fact, the record high of 89 set back in 1922 for April 10th may be in jeopardy.  I think someone in the metro area will reach 90.  That low in the nation's mid-section will move our way for late Thursday and bring some showers and a few thunderstorms to the area. It should end mid-morning or so on Friday. Timing is still being worked out on that front.  Temperatures will then cool down by the weekend.  Enjoy!
