Warm and muggy through tomorrow before a big front brings big changes this weekend.
Tonight: Partly cloudy and a bit muggy.
Lows: Upper 50s to lower 60s | Wind: SSE 5-15 mph
Friday: Partly sunny, warm and humid with late day showers and thunderstorms. Some very heavy storms possible.
Highs: Upper 70s to 80 degrees | Wind: S 10-20 G 30 mph
Saturday: Partly cloudy, breezy, and cooler.
Highs: Lower 60s | Wind: N 10-20 mph
Most areas will see lows tonight in the 60s…very mild…and highs tomorrow that will approach 80 degrees. From late afternoon through tomorrow night, the entire region will be affected by showers and thunderstorms as the cold from approaches, then sweeps across the region.
Gusty winds and torrential downpours will be possible in some of the heavier cells associated with the front. What is not so clear is threat level of some of these storms becoming severe. Right now we think there will be a slight chance of severe weather with those chances increasing the farther south and southwest you are from Washington. Chilly high pressure will move in during the weekend with clearing skies and cool temperatures.
