Southwesterly winds will push temperatures well above average today.

TODAY: Partly cloudy, breezy and warm
Highs: Mid 70s
Wind: S 10-20 mph

EVENING/TONIGHT: A few gusty showers
Lows: Mid to upper 40s
Wind: NW 15-25+ mph

TOMORROW: Becoming mostly sunny and cooler
Highs: Mid 60s
Wind: NW 5-10 mph

Temperatures have been below average for the past few days but today they will be above average. And then tomorrow, temperatures will once again be below average. You know how this spring weather pattern works. Skies will be partly cloudy today and southerwesterly winds will push temperatures well into the 70s. A cold front will approach the metro area this evening. A line of gusty showers is possible as the front advances across the area. Late tonight, skies will clear and temperatures will drop back into the 40s.

Adam Caskey put together an hourly forecast graphic for today. Do you think he may have had something other than the weather on his mind this morning?

Sunshine and cooler temperatures are in our forecast for tomorrow and Friday. As far as the weekend goes, I still don't have a lot of confidence in the forecast but for now, I will keep the forecast as it has been. Partly cloudy skies on Saturday and mostly cloudy skies on Sunday with highs both days in the 60s.
